Safety is our top priority
about our safety practices
At RC Aerial Imaging safety is our number priority. We have worked very hard to make sure our equipment is in top shape and perfect working order. We do vigorous maintenance and daily inspections of our equipment both before and after every shoot. If we feel that a shoot is too dangerous or might risk equipment, property or people, we will decline the job.
Safety Precautions:
- Personal and property safety is always first priority
- Before flying a safety briefing is given to all present.
- Check lists are completed and confirmed prior to operation
- We don't fly directly over people.
- We use top quality equipment.
- We use a redundant battery system.
- We never fly over property or objects that pose safety risks
- We select multiple emergency alternate landing sites prior to flight
- Radio control system safety measures are checked
- An onboard failsafe system brings the engine to idle upon loss of signal
- We never fly in adverse weather conditions, which include:
- Rain, snow, sleet, fog or smoke conditions
- Winds greater than 25 mph
- Temperatures below 45 deg or above 100 deg F
- We confirm a safe and clear launch site and clear climb out at approach corridors.
- Rigorous preventative maintenance program with logs to verify hour usage.
